The Envision is another car that slots into the coverted crossover niche, and was developed jointly by Shanghai GM and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC). We first got the new Volvo S60 tease nearly a year ago, and rather unkindly we speculated that the production car would look nothing like the concept. It looked far too stylish and flowing for Volvo – reminiscent of cars like the Jaguar XF – to actually put in to production. But we were wrong.
According to Vauxhall, the Zafira Tourer concept gives a strong hint at what a production version may look like. Continuing the original mindset of the practical mini MPV, the Zafira Tourer concept aims to combine the Flex7 seating arrangement with a more luxourious and ‘lounge' style environment. The Zafira Tourer adopts an Ampera-esque DRG as well as other new stylistic features.
